I was contributed as coordinator of project and co-author for preparing several book chapter (and also yearly reports 2009-2014) on the edges of SUMAMAD project of UNESCO-MAB. This project studied the different role of aquifer management on the control of desertification. I worked as coordinator of this research project which builds a robust coalition between NGOs, Farmers, governmental sectors, and international organization to harvesting water and combating desertification by sustainable management of water and precision agriculture.

The project addressed the threats to human security and well-being currently posed by water scarcity and water quality degradation in developing countries and the role of groundwater management and protection in alleviating such threats. I coordinated the Iranian team which worked in collaboration with partners from Egypt, Vietnam, and scientists, and scientist from UNU and UNESCO. The book (groundwater and human security, 2017 by UNU-EHS publishing) explaining the biophysical and socio-economical model for evaluating the vulnerability of dryland area to water scarcity and quality.
