M. (Moska) Hellamand

Moska Hellamand holds an honours BSc in College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and a MSc in Drug Innovation from Utrecht University. During her Master's studies, Moska conducted research on the Essential Medicines List at the Utrecht Centre for Pharmaceutical Policy and Regulation, specifically looking into the selection of essential medicines for tuberculosis, HIV, oncology and hepatitis C. Alongside her studies, Moska participated in extracurricular activities including the Honours Programme of Pharmaceutical Sciences with a focus on research and the Avicenna Excellence Program with a focus on healthcare. Moska was also nominated for the Béta Techniek Award from ECHO.

After finishing her Master's, Moska worked as a researcher at the Access to Medicine Foundation on the following topics: access to antibiotics and antifungals, antimicrobial stewardship, and medicine donations. Moska is currently a PhD Candidate at the Utrecht Centre for Pharmaceutical Policy and Regulation. Her PhD project is focused on the impact of the National Essential Medicines List on access to medicines in low- and middle-income countries.
