I am a PhD candidate in the department of Physical Geography working on mass flows on different planets.

I aim to unravel debris flow processes and mechanisms on Mars and Earth and I try to understand how these processes change landscapes over time. On Earth these debris flows are driven by water but on Mars they are driven by gasses (like CO2).

Ultimately, a better understanding of debris flow processes will help us with hazard prediction on Earth under a changing climate, and will help us understand the geological and climatic history of Mars.
