Dr. J.H. Anderson studied philosophy at Princeton University, Northwestern University (USA) and Goethe-Universität (Frankfurt/M). From 1995-2003, he taught philosophy at Washington University in St. Louis. He joined the department in Utrecht in 2004, as lecturer in philosophical anthropology. His research focuses on philosophical anthropology (autonomy; normativity in human agency), ethics (discourse ethics; neuro-ethics), and social theory (mutual recognition; responses to hyper-complexity).
