Jasper Griffioen is supervisor of bachelor and MSc students who write their thesis or otherwise run a project. The related topics refer to sustainable management of soil and water, the water-energy-food nexus or environmental geochemical and hydrological characterisation.

He coordinates and co-teaches the MSc course Water Quality Management since 2019-2020 and the bachelor course Environmental Chemistry & Health since 2026-2027. Earlier, he co-taught the bachelor course Integrated Water and Soil Management during 2015-2026, the MSc course Research Design during 2017-2019 and the bachelor course Environmental Chemistry & Health during 2019-2021. 

He also taught courses on hydrogeology, groundwater geochemistry, groundwater transport processes and hydrogeochemical modelling at Utrecht University and UNESCO-IHE before. He is also frequently involved in national or international training courses on similar topics. More recently, he organised and ran the 1-week course Water4Nature for students from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University and staff from the Nepalese Dep. National Parks and Wildlife Conservation in October 2024, and a 9-days course on groundwater chemistry for African hydrogeologists in May/June 2026.
