Dr. Hongmei Lu is a researcher in the Department of Human Geography and Spatial Planning at Utrecht University. Hongmei's research is interdisciplinary, at the intersection of planning, environmental policy, and the built environment. Her theoretical focus includes policy process theories, policy entrepreneurship, public administration, and street-level bureaucracy. Her empirical research topics cover different aspects of the built environment, such as green infrastructure, stormwater management, and local food systems.
