Gabriël is a PhD student in the field of Competition Law and Political Philosophy at the Utrecht University. He dives into the question of what legislative and regulatory measures are needed to improve the position of platform workers. This research aims to contribute to ensure better working conditions for those experiencing the downside of the ever-growing gig economy: a lack of social security.
He is affiliated with RENFORCE (Utrecht Centre for Regulation and Enforcement in Europe). Furthermore, he is part of the interdisciplinary PhD network within Governing Digital Society focus area and he is a member of Ius Commune research school.
