Geanderson Eduardo Ambrósio is a Postdoctoral Fellow of the PICASSO project at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University. With a PhD in Applied Economics (2019), his work centres on the intersection of sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, and advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). His research expertise encompasses integrated assessment modelling (IAMs) and scenario-based analysis (MAgPIE and IMAGE) to design sustainable development pathways (SDPs).
Geanderson led the contribution of IMAGE-Land to the SHAPE project, pioneering the co-design of SDPs with social scientists, modellers, governance researchers, private sector representatives, policymakers and global stakeholders. He also spearheads the SDG Model Intercomparison Project (SDG MIP), which fosters a global community of SDG modelling teams, and the PICASSO SDG Dashboard, enabling visualization of scenario results through the lens of SDG indicators.
