Given her passion for education, Femke has always combined research and management with a significant amount of teaching. She has 25 years of experience teaching at all level from bachelor to the post-graduate level and have a senior and basic teaching qualification. Van Esch has basic teaching qualifications of the Radboud University Nijmegen and a Basic and Senior Teaching Qualification of the Utrecht University. She regularly supervises young colleagues in obtaining their basic teaching qualification.
