As of 2020, I fulfil the position of Managing Director at the university-wide strategic theme Pathways to Sustainability. Next to the day-to-day management of the programme and core team, I'm responsible for the coordination of policy and decision-making, strategic and operational planning, and financial management.

In 2013, I joined Utrecht University as a Programme Manager. In this role I was responsible for the coordination of the university's EU public affairs strategy and public engagement activities; representation of the university in Brussels; providing strategic advice to the university's Executive Board, the seven faculties and to individual researchers. 

I have a background in political science and wrote my thesis on the role of advice in legislative decision-making processes. My professional experience lies in public affairs. Before joining Utrecht University, I lived and worked in Brussels where I represented various regional and local governments.
