"It is not the talents we possess so much as the use we make of them that counts in the progress of the world."

—Brailsford Robertson

I am a philosopher of physics. I am passionate about the foundations of physics as a whole—from Newtonian mechanics to kinetic theory to general relativity—and about philosophy in general—from philosophy of science to existentialism to politics. But it is the foundations of quantum mechanics, its history and philosophy, that electrifies me the most, and it is to the task of contributing to this literature that I have been devoting my everyday efforts.

I defended my PhD thesis, “The Thermodynamic Origins and Dynamical Foundations of Quantum Discontinuity," recently, on February 9, 2024, with highest honors. A copy is available here: https://philsci-archive.pitt.edu/23131/. A pre-print of my paper with the mathematical physicist Dr. Ricardo Correa da Silva, "The Dual Dynamical Foundation of Orthodox Quantum Mechanics," is also available: http://arxiv.org/abs/2402.15031

I am now the proud first postdoc in Guido Bacciagaluppi’s Bohr21 project, https://www.uu.nl/en/research/history-and-philosophy-of-physics/research/bohr21. I'll therefore be thinking and writing and speaking a lot about Niels Bohr for the following years.

One way I communicate my love for science and philosophy is by giving talks and interviews. Below you can find a selection of talks and interviews of mine—in Portuguese— available on YouTube.
