Barbara Oomen works at University College Roosevelt, Utrecht University's honors Liberal Arts and Sciences program based in Middelburg. Here, she teaches courses like 'Law, Society and Justice', 'International Human Rights', 'Rhetoric and Argumentation', 'Leadership and Strategic Management',  'Transitional Justice' and 'Law and Cultural Diversity'. Over the years, she has also taught a number of research seminars like 'Human Rights Cities' and 'Origins and Implementation of Human Rights'. She has a large interest in human rights education and education for global citizenship.
