Kaliningrad news

The fifth meeting of the International Advisory Council (IAC) of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (IKBFU) took place online on July 10, 2020. I am working in IAC IKBFU since 2016 and I chair it since 2017. My colleagues are not only exact scientists but also a philosopher, a sociologist, an economist, people from medicine, etc. It is an interesting experience to look at the topics at the university level.
IAC IKBFU The third meeting of the International Advisory Council of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (IKBFU) took place in Kaliningrad on September 20 - 21, 2018. I chair this panel since 2017. A few news items from IKBFU site (all in Russian): first day; second day.
IKBFU grant competition In March 2018 IAC participated in the evaluation of grant applications in Kaliningrad. For me, as the chairman, it was a very tricky task to organise the Council to do a decent work with a short-term notice and very limited information. I am proud of my fellow members: three out of 11 members managed to participate in interviews via Skype and seven (2/3 of the Council!) contributed their insightful comments about the applications and the interview results. Our recommendations were generated in two weeks!
