Sander Werkhoven is assistant professor at the Ethics Institute, part of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies. His areas of specialisation are philosophy of medicine and psychiatry, normative ethics and meta-ethics. In 2015 he obtained his PhD from the University of Warwick (UK) with a thesis titled A Dispositional Theory of Health. Sander teaches courses on ethics and political philosophy on Bachelor and Master level, he is a core teacher in the Medical Humanities programme, and he teaches philosophy of science and medical ethics in a variety of context.
