Caspar de Bok is head of Educational Policy & Quality (since 2019)and of International Affairs (since 2015) at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance (LEG). He is also the coordinator of the Diversity programme of LEG.

His main tasks are in development and support for Educational Policy & Quality and strategic advice and policy with respect to internationalisation (in education, research, support and international relations management) and diversity. He advises and supports the Faculty Board in these matters.

He is member of the Conference Programme Committee of the EAIE (European Association for International Education) and expert for the European Consortium for Accreditation (ECA) with respect to quality of internationalisation.

Previously he worked as senior policy advisor (Internationalisation / Research) to the Executive Board of Utrecht University at the Office of Academic Affairs (2006-2016).

He also coordinated various EU funded projects in science and society relations and was the coordinator and co-founder of the international network for community-based research Living Knowledge and project coordinator/head of the Science Shop for Biology at Utrecht University (1996-2006).

He was researcher/teacher at the Centre for Environmental Sciences at Leiden University (1990-1996).

After graduation from Utrecht University in Environmental Biology in 1988, he did his civil service at the Utrecht University Institute for Science Education.
