Arthur H.W. Beusen (1965) obtained his MSc in applied and numerical mathematics at Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands in 1991 with an emphasis on computer science. In 2014 Arthur obtained his PhD from Utrecht University (UU) in modelling the transport of nutrients from land to sea, which he has been involved since 1992. Arthur is considered an expert in designing, integrating, calibrating and evaluating complex environmental computer models, both on a local and global scale. At PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency and UU, Arthur applies his expertise to advance the interface between policy and science thorough theoretical foundation of environmental issues while maintaining a clear and practical perspective on concrete applications.
