Christina G. Jeppesen de Boer has been assistant professor and researcher in comparative family law, at the University of Utrecht, Molengraaff Institute since 2009. She is part of the UCERF (Utrecht Centre for European Research into Family Law) and of the research programme Family & Law.

I am interested in the legal regulation of family relations. Particularly, the parent-child-state relation and the effect of divorce. Does equality require that the child spends equal amount of time with both parents after divorce? Can the law require the parents to remain living close to each other? Should relocation of one parent be disallowed? Can you legally enforce co-operation between parents? Such questions are relevant to society but also have inherent questions about how law works in the regulation of intimate relationships.
