Christoph Baumgartner is Associate Professor of Ethics in the department of Religious Studies and Theology.

Principal topics of his current research and teaching are freedom of religion and freedom of expression, religion in the public sphere, secularism, and the 'ethics of war and terrorism', amongst others the reception of Augustine in ethical debate about war.

Christoph Baumgartner is director of the Research Institute for Theology and Religious Studies (INTEGON).
