Research

Starting point of the institute's research programmes is the cause and effect chain which links economic activities and ecological qualities.

The research of the institute aims at being competitive on a national and international scale. It is also expected to be well linked to corresponding bachelors, masters and PhD education programmes.

Research Groups

The research groups are member of the research school SENSE (Netherlands Research School for the Socio Economic and Natural Sciences of the Environment).

Knowledge transfer

The Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development strives to apply its expertise and knowledge development to our society, from an economic as well as social and cultural point of view. Hence it is crucial to closely liaise with industry, social organisations, knowledge institutions and alumni.
