1. Can I attend an open day of Education for professionals?

There are a number of degree programmes that organise open days where you can become acquainted with the degree programmes. These are primarily executive Master's programmes. For more information on open days or a degree programme, please contact the contact person listed under the degree programme in question.

2. In which online degree programmes can I enrol?

Various online degree programmes are available, spread across the fields of expertise. For the list of available degree programmes, go to degree programmes and use the filter option 'fully online'

3. At which location is the degree programme taught?

The location where a degree programme takes place depends on the subject and field of expertise in question. This is usually in buildings of Utrecht University, both in the Utrecht Science Park and in the inner city of Utrecht, but can also be at other locations in the Netherlands. The location where a degree programme is taught can be found on the programme page of the degree programme in question.

4. Will I receive a certificate after the degree programme is over?

Depending on the degree programme you chose to enrol in, you will receive a certificate of participation, an accredited pass or an accredited diploma. What kind of document you will receive after completing the degree programme can be found on the programme page of each degree programme in question.

5. I have already enrolled in some subjects, but now I want to finish the entire degree programme. Is that possible?

6. How can I sign up for a degree programme?

You will find an application button on the programme page of every degree programme. This button will take you to the application process for the degree programme in question. 7. How can I pay for a degree programme?

You can pay through iDeal, a credit card or an invoice. The application process will explain how you can pay.

8. How can I learn with benefits? Are there any matters such as grant arrangements?

In 2017, the Dutch government made the Lifelong Learning Credit available for people who want to enrol in a degree programme but are no longer entitled to any regular study grants. More information on this arrangement can be found on the website of DUO.

9. I am a lecturer. Can I professionalise myself more at UU?

The tuition fees are paid by the government and are a part of the funding rules for ‘initial education’. The provided education for professionals is covered under ‘private education’, making it exempt from these funding rules. The price is paid by the costs of the degree programme and not, as with initial education, by the government.

10. Why is the price of a degree programme not a percentage of the tuition fees?
