National Police Lab AI

Nationaal Politielab AI

The National Police Lab AI (NPAI) is a cooperation initiative set up by the Dutch police, Utrecht University (UU) and the University of Amsterdam (UvA). Together these organisations strive to develop state-of-the-art AI techniques to improve safety in the Netherlands in a socially, legally and ethically responsible manner.

The research at Police Lab Utrecht focuses on intelligent, interactive dialogues, reasoning using (legal) arguments and crime scenarios as well as the integration of symbolic and subsymbolic techniques in AI. NPAI is a member of the national ICAI network.
