Utrecht University in South Africa

On 3 October 2016, a group of alumni gathered in South Africa. They met with the dean of the faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Wouter Dhert and veterinarian Hellen van der Maazen.

Dhert and van der Maazen visited the University of Pretoria to strengthen the cooperation between the veterinary faculties in Pretoria and Utrecht. They also hosted a small alumni gathering in Johannesburg. It was a great opportunity for the ten enthusiastic alumni to reminisce about their time in Utrecht, while at the same time being updated on what is currently going on at the UU. The meeting provided inspiration to build up a more extensive community of UU alumni in South Africa.
