Utrecht Science Week 2023: together towards a healthy, sustainable society

The third edition of Utrecht Science Week focuses on the power of innovation and collaboration towards a healthy, sustainable society. From Friday 29 September to Sunday 8 October, the Utrecht Science Park will open its doors for students, professionals and all other interested parties to meet and exchange knowledge. Everyone is welcome.

Programme

The Utrecht Science Week offers a varied programme including the Betweterfestival, the symposium 'The future of our Water', a Hackaton Lab ‘Sustainability on the Utrecht Science Park’(by invitation only), a 'Dialogue on animal husbandry' and many other great activities. 

Behavioural change in a sustainability transition

During the Sustainability Day on 3 October, this year a co-production of HU and UU, Reint Jan Renes will speak about the psychology of behavioural change in a sustainability transition. In addition, Cyrille Krul (HU) and Karin Rebel (UU) will share in a joint keynote on how UU and HU are working on their sustainable ambitions. 

Lecture by Prof Dr Bert Weckhuysen

On Friday 6 October, the second Utrecht Science Lecture takes place: "Sustainable cooperation for an accelerated circular economy". It will be delivered by Prof Dr Bert Weckhuysen. Co-referent is Drs Patrick Cramers, director of the Institute for Life Sciences & Chemistry at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences.
