Eight Humanities Masters are best programmes in the Netherlands

Twenty-one Master's programmes of Utrecht University are the best in their field in the Netherlands, according to the Keuzegids 2015 which is published on 25 March. Amongst the excellent programmes are no less than eight Masters of the Faculty of Humanities.

Best ranked Master's programmes

Twenty-one Master's programmes of Utrecht University are ranked number one of the Netherlands in the Keuzegids. Eight of those programmes are taught at the Faculty of Humanities:

• Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance Studies
• Communicatie en organisatie
• Comparative Literary Studies
• Conflict Studies and Human Rights
• Internationale betrekkingen in historisch perspectief
• Linguistics: the Study of the Language Faculty
• Literair vertalen
• Modern History 1500-2000

Quality seal

The Keuzegids also grants a quality seal to certain programmes, to indicate their excellency. The programma Linguistics, the Study of the Language Faculty was granted such a 'Kwaliteitszegel'.

Keuzegids

The Keuzegids Masters is published annually by the Centrum Hoger Onderwijs Informatie (CHOI) and is meant for students and deans, who want to explore the programmes offered by Dutch universities and schools for applied sciences. The catalogue is based on the evaluations of current students, statistics on the contact with teachers and the amount of graduates and visitation reports.

Utrecht University takes the result from the Keuzegids into account in the continuous improvement of her course offer.
