After the majority of Greeks had voted in a referendum on July 5 against further cuts demanded by Europe, the big question on July 6 was: what now? In the TV show EenVandaag Europe expert Dr Mathieu Segers (International and Political History) spoke about the Greek referendum.

The German-French axis usually determines the rate of the Eurozone. Francois Hollande has already said that he wants to show solidarity with the Greeks, but how far can and will Angela Merkel go? "Germany is the heart and engine of the Eurozone, but the support there is steadily decreasing", Segers states in the broadcast.
