Join us for the IOS Fair Transitions / LANDac Summer School

We are excited to host a range of lectures and activities at the crossroads of the fair transitions and land governance debates in this year’s Summer School: Fair Transitions and the Politics of Land: Institutions and Imaginaries for Inclusive Futures.

Participants will explore a wide range of challenges from the energy transition, to net-zero ambitions, nature protection and food system transformations, all of which involve claims on water, land and forests. How these claims are framed, analysed and governed are questions of urgent concern from both a fair transitions and a land governance perspective. The two-week course that will take place from July 3 to July 14th is an extension of the IOS Fair Transitions / LANDac International Annual Conference.

We look forward to an exciting transdisciplinary programme that we hope will draw many of you to Utrecht, the Netherlands. Join us this year in discussing the joint challenge of finding ways to make transitions fair and inclusive for human and non-human life. Deadline for registrations is June 12th, so make sure to sign up soon!

We hope to see you there!

Marit Meijer (course coordinator, IOS Fair Transitions representative)
Wytske Chamberlain - van der Werf (course director, LANDac representative)
