Tropical Butterfly Festival goes digital!

Our annual Tropical Butterfly Festival is postponed since the Gardens are closed for our visitors. Now you van have a look in the Butterfly Greenhouse in 3D. Watch our YouTube channel.

During the festival period  you can admire lots of spectacular tropical butterflies such as the beautiful iridescent blue Morpho butterflies, the huge Atlas moths, which are bigger than your hand, and many more. Apart from the various butterflies and moths, you can also see beautiful caterpillars and their exquisite cocoons that almost look like jewelry.

In our special Butterfly Greenhouse, you can observe these beautiful insects at a close range and quite often, one of them might decide your head or shoulder is just the perfect landing place. Children will love it!

The Butterfly Greenhouse is open during the opening hours of the Garden at no extra fee. Children are very welcome, but we do require that prams are left outside in the hall because of the limited space. Taking photographs is permitted for non commercial use as long as you do not hinder other visitors.
