What makes work meaningful? What are the ingredients for sustainable job performance and enjoyment at work? The central aim of my research is to understand how we can (re)design work where employees feel good and can function optimally. In this, I focus specifically on the impact of new technologies, diversity, and the three M's: Menstruation, Motherhood, and Menopause.

Projects

Currently, I'm involved in the following research projects:

  • Technological innovations at the goverment: consequences for workers' wellbeing
  • Student wellbeing and the transition from study to work
  • Cognitive appraisal of work: what makes a job characteristic stressful?
  • Job crafting: the development and evaluation of a job crafting intervention
  • What makes work performance sustainable?
  • Menstruation, work and wellbeing
