Maria Peeters (1966) studied Health Sciences at the University of Maastricht. In 1994 she got here PhD at the Radboud University Nijmegen on a (diary) study at the influence of social support on job stress. Currently she works as associate professor at Utrecht University (department Sociale, Health and Organizational Psychology). Since 2017 she is appointed as part-time full Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology. 
 
Maria's research focuses on promoting sustainable employee performance in a work environment increasingly characterized by (technological) changes and innovations. In this respect, she also pays attention to the growing diversity that characterizes many organizations. Recently, Maria also focuses on how the three M's - Menstruation, Motherhood, and Menopause - can influence employee motivation and performance. Her expertise can be characterized by the following keywords: work-related well-being, motivation, performance, engagement, job crafting, work-life balance, (implementation of) technological innovations, and the three M's.
