Femke de Boer has been working as a PhD candidate at the Utrecht University since September 2017. Her PhD project is part of the Supreme Nudge project that investigates how people with a low socioeconomic status can be nudged towards healthier food choices in the supermarket. Earlier, she received her Bachelor's degree Health and Life Sciences at the VU University Amsterdam and her Master's degree Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Amsterdam (both with distinction).
