Profile

Astrid Poorthuis works as an assistant professor at the department of developmental psychology at Utrecht University. Her research interests include the psychological impact of grades, the transition from primary school to secondary school, and peer influence. She supervises PhD candidates conducting research on a variety of topics, at both Utrecht University and the University of Amsterdam.

She teaches in the bachelor program of psychology and the master program clinical child and adolescent psychology.
