Aad Haverkamp is a research policy officer. He supports and advises the board of the Faculty of Humanities on matters of research policy.

He is mainly occupied with PhD policy. As the secretary of the Graduate School of Humanities, Haverkamp initiates, develops and implements policy with regard to, among other thinks, supervision of PhD-trajectories, quality assurance and the recruitment and well being of (international) PhD candidates. He is also responsible for the organisation and communication of the PhD training program. And he is the contact person for Joint Doctorates and 'ius-promovendi'-applications within the Faculty of Humanities.

In addition to this he is responsible for the procedures and nominations for awards, the assistence of evaluation, selection and advice committees of chairs and other research policy.
