  • 2010 - present, Assistant Professor, Section Energy & Resources, Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Faculty of Geosciences, Utrecht University
  • 2002-2010, Consultant at Ecofys in the department of Energy and Climate Strategies. Responsible for projects in the field of energy-efficiency and renewable energy for clients such as the European Commission, PBL, Shell, WWF, Greenpeace and the Dutch government.
  • Feb 2001-Nov 2001, Master thesis internship, Province of North Brabant, Energy savings in own provincial buildings and road infrastructure.
