Valerie works as PhD candidate within the Youth and Family research group at the department of Education and Pedagogy. Her research project (called “It Takes Two”) focusses on parent-adolescent dynamics at micro level, and how these micro level processes relate to (changes in) concepts at macro level, such as relationship quality and adolescent well-being. She also wants to investigate whether these expected associations between micro and macro level processes differ for different parents and adolescents, as well as in different contexts. This way, Valerie hopes to contribute to more knowledge about navigating the challenges that sometimes accompany adolescence.
