Vaitiare is a postdoctoral researcher with a background in nutrition, public health, risk communication management, epidemiology, and infectious disease prevention and control. She is currently involved in three research projects:

  • UPSCALE: This initiative examines the needs of health and welfare technology users and their interactions with healthcare services, focusing on the development of user-centered services and fostering knowledge co-creation during transitions.
  • CONTAGIO: This project aims to create a roadmap for repurposing cohorts to enhance preparedness for (re-)emerging infectious diseases.
  • CHARE-GD: This project investigates the decision-making processes regarding antibiotic prescriptions for upper respiratory tract infections in Northern Germany and the Netherlands, emphasizing the differences and similarities between these countries.

Vaitiare has experience in both academia and the public sector, working across resource-rich and resource-limited settings. Additionally, she supervises BSc and MSc students and collaborates with professionals from diverse disciplines within international teams.

Adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to continuous learning, she thrives in interdisciplinary collaboration.
