Tom Grant is a researcher affiliated with ICON and the Department of Languages, Literature and Communication. He obtained his PhD in 2020 at the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse & Celtic in the University of Cambridge. Tom's research sits at the intersection of Old English and Old Norse literature and culture. His particular focus is on the relationship between England's national epic, Beowulf, and traditions preserved in Old Norse sagas and poetry. Tom has taught on a variety of Old English and Old Norse topics at Cambridge and Utrecht.
