Connecting people with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive is my jam. Drawing on my academic background in visual culture and art history, as well as insights from theater training and Buddhist philosophy, I use teaching and writing to explore how to strengthen human connection skills outside of the expanding digital world to improve how we communicate within it.

I teach courses for Bachelor's students and PhD's in research writing and impactful presenting for the faculty of Geosciences and Copernicus.  I also write, edit and translate for art organizations, academics and technology companies closely aligned with improving societal and planetary health. I have a diverse background in public- and client-facing communication and event organizing from my time working in corporate finance, contemporary art, and cultural centers. I also spent several years teaching meditation practice and theory courses during a long engagement with an international Buddhist organization.  Several years ago, I transitioned my skill set into science communication, initially while managing a program to support early-career researchers at Elsevier, and found I loved it. I write about AI, societal impact and integrity in knowledge systems for Elsevier Connect and other public channels. I also write and translate articles on nature-based art and art research practices for creators and magazines in the Dutch contemporary art field.
