I work 1 day/week at the Institute for Marine and Atmospheric sciences Utrecht (IMAU) and can be found in the Buys Ballot Building, room 611. My presence at IMAU is irregular. I also work 3 days/week at the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) who pay for this chair, and 1 days/week for the University of Southampton where I am based at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton. At present I have no teaching program at IMAU but support the course waves in gesotrophical fluids. from Prof. Leo Maas. I also supervise students doing their Master Thesis. I recently spend much of my time on my role as one of the “Lead Authors” of the coming chapter on “Ocean, Sea-level, and Cryosphere”, which was part of the AR6 report of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which will be published in 2021. At KNMI I am project-leader "sea-level rise" and responsible for the new sea-level rise scenarios.
