Stefano Lugo is Associate Professor of Finance at Utrecht University. His research mainly focuses on Corporate Finance and on Financial Intermediation.
His work has been presented at several conferences--including the EFA annual meetings--and it has been published in (among others) the Review of Finance, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Financial Intermediation, the Journal of Corporate Finance, the Journal of Banking & Finance, and the Journal of Financial Stability.
At the Utrecht University School of Economics (U.S.E.) Stefano currently serves as the Research Director and member of the management team of the department and the principal contact person with the CFA Institute. In the past he served a 2-year term as the Head of the Finance Section of the department and various terms as coordinator of bachelor and master programs.
Throughout the years Stefano has been a visiting researcher at the University of Oxford (Saïd Business School), the University of Oklahoma (Price College of Business), and the Stockholm School of Economics (Finance Department and Swedish House of Finance).
Stefano holds a PhD and an MSc from Politecnico di Milano; he is also a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of the Netherlands.
