Profile

Sibe Doosje (PhD, 1956) is senior lecturer of Clinical Psychology. He studies positive psychology, especially humor, and is intrigued by the role of questioning in research and education. As a chair of the board of examinors of the academic masters he has a great interest in assessment processes. He is a cofounder of the Teaching Academy of Utrecht University and owner of the Humorlab.  He has two children (2001, 2004) and enjoys humor (practice what you preach), questioning, poetry, cycling and expressions of Chinese culture.

In 2010, Sibe got his PhD with a dissertation called Sense of humor at work: Assessment and Associations with Health. He is currently involved in reserach regarding heatlhcare clowning.

Sibe is involved in several research related courses, is active as an innovator in higher education. He is a supervisor of bachelor's and master's theses and internships. He is a well-known public speaker on several dimensions of a sense of humor.
