Sander Lentz is a starting junior lecturer, with a background in toxicology, epidemiology and general biology. Within IRAS-Tox, he assists educating staff in creating and innovating education. He also has an active role in developing Postgraduate Education in Toxicology (PET) courses, which are courses aimed at PhD-candidates and professionals who aim to become registered toxicologists.
He is also working on research into animal testing alternatives (NAMs), specifically to identify metabolism-disrupting chemicals. He is doing this in the AFARA project, where collaboration takes place with social sciences and law to determine the best NAMs to use, not only in science but in society as a whole.
