Sophie's PhD project is part of the NWA-project AFARA (Animal-free Assays for endocrine-disruption, from science to Regulatory Acceptance). The research is focused on integrating animal-free testing methods in the EU risk governance framework for chemicals, specifically for endocrine disrupting chemicals. Sophie's project is focused on researching the interaction between system transitions, values and innovations.
