Rolf Sparidans is working as assistant professor at the Utrecht University, dept. of Pharmaceutical Sciences on bioanalytical method development and validation using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Research activities are focused on bioanalytical methods for quantification of drugs and especially of relevant endogenous metabolomic compounds in pharmacological (kidney, lung, intestine, and brain) research models. For example: protein-bound uremic toxins (PBUTs) and short chain fatty acids (SCFAs). In addition to teaching in analytical courses he is also well experienced in teaching basic pharmacokinetics and biotransformation.
