Rosanna Nagtegaal studied Public Administration at Tilburg University and the University of Potsdam. After this, she took the Research Master's in Public Administration and Organizational Science (UU, cum laude). She then received her PhD from the Utrecht School of Governance (USG). She conducted research on how behavioral science can help understand and improve the behavior of public employees. In this, she involved technological innovations, such as the use of algorithms. After her PhD, she became a post-doc on the "Together at Work" project. In this, she studied how we can use behavioral insights so that employers hire more people with disabilities. She is currently an assistant professor at the Utrecht School of Governance (USG). Among other things, she teaches in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (course: the Politics of Policy Making) and the research master's program (High Control Design). She co-coordinates the Government & Behavior course and supervises undergraduate theses. She focuses on behavioral insights, (technological) innovations and helping vulnerable groups.
