Remco J.L. van Dijk (1997) is a physician specialising in public health and infectious disease control. In October 2025, he started as a PhD candidate at Utrecht University's Ethics Institute. His research focuses on the role of values in scientific advice in infectious disease control. This research project is a collaboration between the Ethics Institute and the National Coordination Centre for Communicable Disease Control (LCI) at the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). The supervision team consists of prof. dr. Marcel Verweij (UU), prof. dr. Frans Brom (UU), dr. Lucie White (UU), and dr. Tjalling Leenstra (RIVM).
