During my educational and professional career, I developed from a teacher focusing on individual learning, via researcher and developer focusing on team learning to coordinator/ manager focusing on organisational learning. My development focused on the explicit use of system thinking for the purpose of explaining, predicting and changing properties, functions and behaviour in biological and engineering systems, educational systems and other social systems. By conducting design research, performing activities in professional development and curriculum innovation in science & engineering education, I developed competencies regarding problem-solving, transferring across contexts and systems, multidisciplinary teamwork, and learning by design. This background offers me the opportunity to provide advice and training on educational development from a variety of perspectives and at different organizational levels within the university.
