Rianne Dekker is associate professor at the Utrecht University School of Governance (USG/USBO). She studies how digitalization reshapes relations between government and citizens, focusing on the domains of migration and security. Her research covers digital data and technology adoption by governments and how citizens digitally self-organize and exert influence on public governance. Her research focuses on the domains of migration and security, which are characterized by traditional power relations and are often among the first domains in which digital applications are used.
Rianne is coordinator of the master program ‘Public Governance and Policy’.
