Rutger Schilpzand is a researcher for the FIRMBACKBONE project, which will provide detailed firm-level data. He completed his master in International Economics in 2013 and his master in Law in 2014. Afterwards he worked as a teaching and research assistant at the Radboud University and the UvA. He is currently finishing his PhD on economic growth.

Research interest mainly gravitate long-run economic growth. Deep determinants which cause economic growth. The growth resilience of countries after shocks. The effects inequality and poverty have on economic growth
