• Scientific Integrity Counsellor for the Social Sciences and Humanities, KNAW.
• Secretary and board member of GAMAAN, the Group for Analyzing and Measuring Attitudes in Iran. (My work with GAMAAN is on a voluntary basis; I have in the past received small sums for language editing. In 2023/2024, my research on Iran was supported by a NWO Open Competition XS grant. In 2025-2030, my research on Iran is supported by a NWO Vidi grant).
