Patrick Reumer (he/him) is a teaching researcher at the Willem Pompe Institute for Criminal Law and Criminology at Utrecht University.

From 2013 to 2020, Patrick pursued Dutch Law at Radboud University Nijmegen. His areas of specialization during his studies were criminal law (focusing on health law) and civil law (focusing on intellectual property law). He also worked as a junior lecturer in criminal (procedural) law for six months at the criminal law department of Radboud University.

Since November 2020, Patrick has been working at WPI as a criminal law lecturer. Within the academic realm, Patrick is involved in Introduction to Criminal Law, Substantive Criminal Law, Penal Sanctions and Civil Law in Perspective: Criminal Law and Private Law. Additionally, he supervises bachelor theses. From 2023 to 2029, Patrick is conducting doctoral research on euthanasia in custody, delving into the intersections of health law, penitentiary law, criminal law, and human rights. Finally, he serves as the coordinator for the Legal Consultation for Detainees (JSG).
